The Austin Rodeo (sometimes called RodeoAustin) was founded in 1938 as the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo. STFR is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization whose mission is to promote youth education through the preservation of western heritage.  Each year over 2,200 volunteers work to advance the mission.  The role of the Star of Texas History Committee is to preserve and exhibit the history of Austin, Travis County, the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo, the State of Texas and the American West. Aside from the world class rodeo events, Austin Rodeo also brings in some of the best entertainers in the country.  The 2008 Austin Rodeo is such to be a hit with legends such as Kevin Fowler, Sean Kingston, Clay Walker, Natasha Bedingfield, George Jones, Miranda Lambert, Styxx, Willie Nelson, Gretchen Wilson, and more!  Get your tickets at the Ticket Lodge!
